Interview with CPS General Director
We would like to present you the interview with CPS General Director, who will tell us more about NUFYP program.
Q: What would you say to people who think that it is better to enter directly into university rather than take a preparatory year?
A: It depends on what you’re trying to do: if you’re in a really big hurry in getting a degree and getting a job maybe it can seem like a waste of time for you, but like I said before, you can make mistakes and avoid them in the future before they get into your transcript and prob- ably affect your career. A year here is the year where you can mature, you will learn academic skills and improve your knowledge which even- tually will save your time in the future.
Q: Do you think that NUFYP students are better prepared for Under- graduate study?
A: Absolutely. Simply because they’ve been on campus they know where to go, locations, facilities and all this stuff. When you’re on direct entry and know nothing getting to deal with all this stuff like Moodle, Registrar system it can be a bit hard to adjust as a freshman UG stu- dent. In comparison, NUFYP offers a good amount of emotional and academic support.
